"The Ultimate Love Story" is a Christian country song that tells the story of "The Gift", Jesus gave us all.

This song started out as a poem hanging on the wall at my friend's parent's house.
I let my friend, Mr. Dale Hoover know that I had read his great poem, "The Ultimate Love Story" , while I was at his mom and dad's house.
I asked Dale if I could have a copy of the poem, that I wanted to try and make a song out of it.
Dale was happy to give me a copy.
He said anything that helps get out God's Message, would be okay.

I worked the poem into a song, added a chorus, and some music.
Then I cut a guitar/vocal demo in my studio. 
Next, I sent my demo to my friend Gary McVay at Gloryland Recording Studio, in Pigeon Forge, TN. Gary sang on the new demo and he did a great job with the song.

My brother, Charlie Boland, was going through some of my songs, and called me. Charlie really liked Gary's cut of the song.
Charlie said he could hear this song as a duet with a male, and female singer, like a Faith and Tim duet.
Charlie also felt we needed a few lyric changes.
So he worked on it a while, and the changes made the difference.

Charlie  produced his cut, in Nashville, TN.
The song came to life with the vocal talents of
Susan Marshall Clinton and Darryl Lee O'Donnell.
I was so thrilled with the finished product, I am having
a professional songplugger shop this song.

This song's journey from a poem hanging on a living room wall,
to being plugged in Nashville, only took nine years.
And it would still be in my "song trunk", with the other 400 plus songs, if my brother Charlie didn't have "Rose Colored Glasses".
